Indica

Indica

With cannabis and indoor cultivation on the rise in the past few decades, Indica cannabis Varieties are more popular than ever before. This subspecies of cannabis is known for its sedating, short stature, and dense, frosty buds. Today, there is a wide variety of Indicas to choose from.

Landrace Indica Varieties originated in the Middle East and Asia, in semi-arid regions of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, and India. Some of the most popular Indica varieties are believed to have come from the Hindu Kush mountains. As a result, these hardy plants have adapted to endure drier and cooler conditions than tropical Sativa varieties.

Most Indica plants are short and stocky, producing dense buds that are incredibly frosty. The plants tend to flower within eight to ten weeks, while it may take more than 14 weeks for some Sativa Varieties to reach maturity. The plants’ small stature and quick flowering time have made them popular among indoor cultivators and commercial growers with limited space and time. They are also a popular breeding tool to create hybrids that lower the height and flowering time of Sativas.

Indicas are typically in both CBD. Popular Varieties such as Bubba Kush and Northern Lights are often used to ease pain and insomnia, making them widely popular among cannabis users.
