The Cali Connection
The Cali Connection is a California-based cannabis breeder with a long history of creating top-shelf hybrids. This company, founded by Edward “Swerve” Clarizio, is one of the first cannabis seed banks in the USA. Since its inception, the Cali Connection has won numerous High Times Cannabis Cups and has created a wide range of regular, feminized, and autoflowering seeds.
Swerve began distributing clones in 2003 under the moniker “Swerve’s Cuts” and later founded his seed company in 2008. Over the course of his career, this breeder has built a collection of some of the most iconic cannabis strains in America, such as Pre ’98 Bubba Kush, and Chem 91. In an interview with Forbes, Swerve said:
“I not only sourced direct from the originator, but I was actually able to make friends with some of these legends. I was amazed by the reception and appreciation of providing these clones of verified genetics. So, I guess seeds and a seed company were a natural progression.”
