Clementine x Animal Cookies
Citron is a premium feminized hybrid of two terpene-rich cannabis cultivars—Clementine and Animal Cookies. This produces sticky buds that reek of citrus, cookie dough, and Skunk. Citron offers a unique twist on the sweet-and-sour flavor of Animal Cookies.
By combining Clementine with the legendary Animal Cookies cut, Greenpoint Seeds has created Citron—a top-shelf hybrid that offers a and exotic flavor. This cultivar provides a generous yield of buds that have the bag appeal of Cookies and the sweet, fruity scent of Clementine.
Citron Feminized Cannabis Seeds
Greenpoint Seeds pollinated the prized cut of Clementine from Crockett Family Farms with the clone-only Animal Cookies cut. The resulting offspring, known as Citron, offers many phenotypes that exhibit the award-winning traits of both Clementine and Animal Cookies. Some plants may lean toward the uplifting and citrusy aroma of Clementine, and others may offer the sleepy and exceptional resin production of Animal Cookies. Most Citron phenotypes will display a mixture of traits from both parents.
Citron is a feminized. Feminized seeds make the growing process easy by eliminating the need to identify and remove male plants from the garden. Approximately 99.9 percent of feminized seeds produce female plants. This means that growers can be confident that nearly every Citron seed will produce a sexually stable female cannabis plant.
Aroma
Citron combines the sweet, citrusy aroma of Clementine with the cookie-dough funk of Animal Cookies. Some phenotypes may take on the fruity aroma of Clementine, and others may lean toward the sweet-and-sour scent of Animal Cookies. Most plants will present a blend of these mouthwatering aromas.
Flavor
Citron is as flavorful as it is aromatic. This variety offers notes of lemon, orange, and cookie dough, contrasted with hints of Skunk, kerosene, and pine. These sweet, zesty flavors linger on the tongue long after the exhale. Some plants may taste more of citrus, and others may share the sweet, funky flavor of Animal Cookies.
Structure
Citron is tall in height, with long branches that may have significant internodal spacing. This variety forms medium to large colas that are blanketed with shiny trichomes. Clementine-dominant phenotypes may be somewhat taller and produce larger buds, while Animal Cookies-dominant phenotypes may be frostier and more colorful.
Citron Growth Traits
Citron is moderately easy to cultivate and is resistant to most pests, diseases, and environmental stressors; however, some Animal Cookies-dominant phenotypes may be more sensitive to fluctuations in pH, temperature, humidity, and other conditions. Citron can be grown both indoors and outdoors if given a warm and dry climate. Because Citron plants tend to be tall, indoor growers may benefit from using low-strain training methods such as topping, fimming, or super cropping during the vegetative growth period. This will limit the stretch during the early flowering period and boost the yield of Citron.
Pest & Disease Control
Due to its Animal Cookies parentage, some phenotypes of Citron may be susceptible to powdery mildew. Growers can prevent powdery-mildew infections by regularly pruning the leaves, using fans to increase air circulation, and reducing the humidity in the growing area. They can also use water and sodium bicarbonate foliar sprays during the vegetative period to stop powdery mildew from spreading.
Animal Cookies tends to need more calcium and magnesium than most require. Some phenotypes of Citron also may require an abundance of these nutrients. Growers can prevent nutrient deficiencies by incorporating a cal-mag supplement into the regular nutrient program, or by using lime and Epsom salt as soil amendments. Growers should use a pH meter when mixing nutrient solutions. This will help ensure that the plants maintain a consistent pH and can absorb the optimum amount of nutrients.

Citron is is beautiful and easy to grow. I started topping and flipped to 12/12 early so my plants ended up about 3' tall. Have several weeks left but already know it's gonna be quality. With medium yield. I use organic dry fertilizer from Amazon and 5 gal grow bags sf4000 clone

Great seeds and results! I abused this poor girl unintentionally when a storm blew out my light, and I had to transfer her outside to my little greenhouse. She was in flower and started to reveg. I let her flowers develop and harvested her just as she started to become a hermie. Despite all that abuse, she did beautifully. Here she is after a wet trim. I'm growing another Citron seed and she's blazing along. Please bring back Citron, a lovely uplifting and pain relieving hybrid.

Just wrapped up week 8F on two of these girls. Both of them were grown in the same 20 gallon homemade SIP container with Coot’s mix soil, using Build a Soil amendments. These are two of six Greenpoint plants in my 5x5, all starting to show their fall colors and fill in all the nooks and crannies of the buds with frosty white trichomes. The whole tent reeks and it’s when I get up close to the Citron that I get that lemon pledge and orange oil followed by that sour umph that clings to the nostrils. I’ve got about 2 weeks left on her and I’m most excited for these terps so far!

Citron, along with Lemon Frosting, is one of my favorite citrusy hybrids of GPS. A few phenotypes were also very prominent with awesome skunkiness. Each was covered in tricomes and took well to LST. Easy grow indoors. Responds very well to UVA and UVB.
