Animal Cookies

Animal Cookies: the name changed

Greenpoint’s position is simple: original Animal Cookies was Thin Mint GSC renamed. The story starts with a closely held Bay Area cut and the people moving it around. A new label gave that cut a new identity in the market.

Platinum, Animal, and the price of a name

In his 2025 ICMag recollection, grower fullymelted describes the original Cookies, Platinum Cookies and Animal as one plant. He traces the Animal name through Str8flame and Dru, also known as Seerious415. He also remembers why Platinum worked as a name: Platinum OG and Platinum Bubba were pulling higher prices. The label already sounded expensive.

That is the rename story we back. In the early-2010s Cookies rush, controlling the name helped distinguish a cut and protect its price. Read that history before treating every new Cookies label as a breeding breakthrough.

Where the Fire OG story enters

BC Bud Depot markets its Animal Cookies seed line as GSC × Fire OG Bx3. That is a commercial pedigree attached to a particular seed release. Using it as the birth certificate for the original Bay Area cut skips the history. A catalog entry does not get to travel backward in time.

Know the family, then check the pack

The foundation is Girl Scout Cookies from Jigga and the Cookies Family. Jigga identifies the pairing as F1 Durban × Florida OG, the OG Kush side of the family. Forum Cookies has its own route through the ICMag community; keep that selection’s name attached to its crosses.

The releases below show what breeders did with Animal next. An S1, a two-parent cross and somebody else’s commercial Animal line are different purchases. Follow the parents and generation on the actual pack.
