If you were buying in the Heights or running the I-95 lane to Boston in that era you know exactly what it smelled like. Haley’s Comet is a bag seed cut that carries it. The Cross
The goal is to capture the racy character of the I-95 corridor Hazes without the fourteen week wait. The Piff cut can push a hundred days in flower. Animal Cookies runs nine to ten weeks. Crossing them brings the finish into sane territory and adds the structure the Piff has never had.
That is a real breeding problem rather than a marketing one, and it is why the cross exists.
The Parents
Piff, Church, Frankie, Uptown Haze. These are all names for a specific phenotype of Northern Lights #5 crossed to Haze, possibly a Cuban Black Haze, that dominated New York City for the better part of a decade. It was the standard in the Heights and it travelled the corridor, and anybody who was buying then can still identify it blind.
Haley’s Comet is a specific bag seed variety found in the Massachusetts and New York scene that carries the profile. It is a sativa that refuses to be tamed: three to four times stretch, wispy airy foxtails, and no commercial viability whatsoever. It is a labor of love and nothing else.
Animal Cookies is Girl Scout Cookies crossed to Fire OG, and it is the reason this cross finishes.
What’s In The Pack
Six feminized photoperiod seeds. What you are hunting is the plant that keeps the church character on the Cookies frame. This is a collector’s pack, because the Piff profile is not something you can buy anywhere else in seed form.
In The Garden
62-70 days, finishing around day 63, which is dramatically shorter than the mother. Expect stretch from the Piff side and plan the trellis accordingly.

She got huge and needed to be staked. Conditions were kinda rough with high Temps and humidity but buds still got dense. Fed Jack’s 321 almost every watering until last week of only water and leaves faded nicely. Did not smell until harvest time after which she reeked of frankincense. Buds smell like old lady perfume when breaking up and taste like heavy frankincense when smoked, flavor is there until last hit of joint. Yield was good as well. Only popped one seed.

Greenpoint Seeds did a phenomenal job creating a fast, ultra-premium winner. This strain has explosive growth and a big stretch, but it responds perfectly to topping and LST to keep the canopy controlled. By week 2, it is already stacking frost and smells absolutely wonderful. It is an amazing, high-velocity exotic for any home tent! Looks yellow because It’s the old mars hydro sp3000. She’s really green.
