Platinum Cookies

Platinum Cookies: a name with a price attached

Platinum sounded expensive before it landed on Cookies. In fullymelted’s account, Platinum OG and Platinum Bubba were already commanding higher prices. Calling the original Cookies cut Platinum put it in that company. That small detail tells you how much the early Cookies story depended on the name on the bag.

He identifies original Cookies, Platinum and Animal Cookies as the same plant. Greenpoint’s conclusion puts Thin Mint in that renaming story: an existing GSC cut acquiring another market identity.

For a collector, the useful distinction is between a renamed cut and a new cross. Forum Cookies carries its own selection history. A later breeder’s plant called simply Platinum needs its own pedigree. One shared word cannot do that work.

The products below carry the Platinum Cookies lineage. Follow each release’s other parent to see what actually changed.
