Growth Traits
Like its parents, Bananimal may be challenging for inexperienced growers. This strain thrives in a controlled environment, with ample nutrients and lighting, proper training, and low humidity.
Due to its OG Kush ancestry, some phenotypes of Bananimal may stretch significantly during the early flowering period. Growers typically control the growth of the plants by using high- or low-strain training methods such as fimming, super cropping, and topping during the vegetative growth phase. This will limit the stretch, increase the lateral branching, and boost the yield of Bananimal.
Pest & Disease Control
Bananimal is resistant to many pests and diseases; however, some phenotypes may be susceptible to powdery mildew. Growers can prevent powdery mildew infections by removing excess fan leaves, using fans to provide air circulation, and reducing the humidity in the grow room. Foliar sprays such as water and sodium bicarbonate solutions may help reduce the spread of powdery mildew.
Due to the extreme density and frost of Bananimal’s flowers, some phenotypes may be prone to bud rot. Growers can prevent bud rot by pruning the plants, providing ventilation, and keeping the humidity level low during the flowering period (below 50 percent).
Bananimal requires a stable pH and an ample supply of calcium and magnesium. Growers can avoid calcium and magnesium deficiencies by incorporating a cal-mag supplement into the nutrient schedule or amending the growing medium with dolomite lime and Epsom salt. Most growers use a pH meter or pH strips when mixing nutrient solutions. This helps ensure that the plants receive a consistent pH and can absorb the optimum amount of nutrients.

I wanted to wait until this bananimal was fully cured before commenting. What a great strain. This is a heavily foliated, very densely noded plant, extremely bushy and husky i would say. I kept them small on purpose, flipped after 6 weeks and saw minimal stretch, perfect for the tent. 9 weeks yielded fruity smelling buds that puts dispensary bud to shame. Will train more aggressively next time for more yield, but this strain is a killer as far as im concerned. 👍

I’m 5 weeks in veg and she’s growing like a beast! Topped and using 7 gal fabric pots with organic soil and fertilizer. Just thrown into the flower tent. Will try to update this again when finished. This one is special in how quickly she’s gaining mass, not just stretching. I was really impressed with the banana punch and thus wanted to run another banana cross, although the punch version stretched hard in flower and yields were a little light, the terp quality made up for any other deficiencies. I am hoping to control this one a little better for stretching. Seeing this makes me want to pop a Texas Butter too!! I know it’s early in the grow to rate 5 stars but indications are this will easily sail past 5 once the nuggets start swelling! Stout genetics showing early with this strain!
I started with 3 seeds, all germinate. Have flowered out 2 of the 3. One was shorter, had a more diesel smell, very easy girl to grow, had a pinch more trichome coverage. Taste was more of a banana nut bread flavor, and sweeter than the other pheno. The high was very Mello, soothing, pain relief in feet was also nice. It is a clear high as well, with a mild stone, which is faster acting than the other pheno. The other pheno, she’s awesome! Her flavor is a green banana, in her taste shows this, banana flavor, with a hint of sour/tart/bitter, but not as sweet as the other, but I absolutely love this one. The high, if you smoke about a 1/4 of a roll, it’s very clear, you can focus on task, no body whatsoeve, very calm, able to function with focus. Smoke about a half a roll, wow, a grin takes over, happiness ensues, pain goes away in legs/feet. But still has this unique clearness to it. Then 3/4 of that roll, wow, very happy, talkative, also a more cerebral effect is felt, laughter outbreaks, this is a sure fire keeper. I can’t say enough about how consistently happy I am with everything I grow from this seed company, I’m always amazed!
Wow I really didn’t think it was going to become nothing until the 6th end of six week it started getting fat purple and fire it’s potent as shit 42 years of growing this and it’s good I tried some others stuff here wasn’t as good as this one this is underrated

Great strain, strong grower great smell and sack appeal. Banana kush was strong in this one and the animal frost made it’s pretty. Great smoker for sure. GPS for the win again.

Just finishing up, this one has a more diesel smell to it. This pheno stayed short during the flowering stage with minimal stretching. Lots of trichome. When dried will leave another update on smoke.
