Texas Toasted
Texas Toasted is a premium feminized hybrid of Shoreline OG and Animal Cookies. This cannabis produces connoisseur-grade buds with complex terpene profile of skunk and gas blended with cherry and cookie dough.
Born-on Date: August 2023
Shoreline OG x Animal Cookies
Texas Toasted is a funky, frosty cannabis that brings together some of the best classic and modern American cannabis cultivars. This premium feminized hybrid is a cross of Shoreline OG and Animal Cookies—two cannabis that are known to produce connoisseur-grade buds. Like its parents, Texas Toasted is packed with aroma, flavor.
By crossing these two elite cultivars, Greenpoint Seeds has created Texas Toasted—a powerful hybrid with the pungent aroma and hardy growth of Shoreline OG, as well as the exceptional and resin production of Animal Cookies.
Texas Toasted Feminized Cannabis Seeds
Greenpoint Seeds used the original cut of Animal Cookies to pollinate a select phenotype of Shoreline OG from Shoreline Genetics. The resulting hybrid—Texas Toasted—offers a range of phenotypes that exhibit the superior characteristics of both parental lines. Some plants provide the generous yield and funky flavor of Shoreline OG, and others offer the sedating and remarkable resin production of Animal Cookies. Most plants will inherit a combination of these traits.
Texas Toasted is an Indica-dominant feminized hybrid. Feminized seeds make the growing process easy and efficient by eliminating the need to separate male plants from the females. By using feminized seeds, growers can have peace of mind knowing that 99.9 percent of the seeds will produce all-female plants.
Aroma
Texas Toasted combines the skunky bouquet of Shoreline OG with the sweet-and-sour tang of Animal Cookies. This cultivar smells of cherry and cookie dough, mixed with funky notes of skunk, gasoline, rubber, and soil. Some phenotypes will be earthier and skunkier, and some will be sweeter.
Flavor
Texas Toasted melds the raunchy flavor of Shoreline OG with the cookie-dough funk of Animal Cookies. This variety tastes of cherry, lemon, and cookie dough, with bitter notes of skunk, kerosene, soil, and pine. The flavor remains on the tongue long after smoking Texas Toasted. Some Shoreline OG-dominant phenotypes may lean toward the flavors of burning rubber and skunk, and some Animal Cookies-dominant plants may taste more of cherry, cookie dough, and soil. Most plants will offer a blend of these flavors.
Structure
Like its parents, Texas Toasted is medium to tall in height, with long, lanky branches and large, emerald-green leaves. This variety produces medium-size colas that are heavily dusted with resin. The buds are dense and frosty, with a thick sheen of trichomes. Some Cookies-dominant phenotypes may display hues of purple and red when exposed to cold temperatures.
Growing Texas Toasted
Texas Toasted is a moderately easy cannabis to cultivate, and is resistant to most pests, diseases, and stressors; however, some Animal Cookies-dominant phenotypes may be more sensitive to fluctuations in pH, temperature, humidity, and other conditions. Texas Toasted can be grown both indoors and outdoors if given a warm and dry climate.
Both Shoreline OG and Animal Cookies stretch significantly during the early flowering period. Like its parents, Texas Toasted may stretch in height as it begins to flower. Growers can limit the vertical stretch and increase the yield of Texas Toasted by using training methods. This cannabis tends to benefit from topping, fimming, super cropping, and other training techniques.
Cookies and OG cannabis typically require more calcium and magnesium than the average variety. Texas Toasted also thrives when provided with extra calcium and magnesium. To avoid calcium and magnesium deficiencies, growers can use a cal-mag supplement or amend the soil with gypsum, Epsom salt, oyster shells, or other dry amendments. Because some Texas Toasted phenotypes may be sensitive to pH fluctuations, most growers use a pH meter to test their nutrient solutions before feeding the plants.
Pest & Disease Control
Shoreline OG-dominant phenotypes are resistant to mold and mildew, but some Animal Cookies-dominant plants may be susceptible to fungal diseases. Growers can avoid powdery-mildew infections by thinning the canopy, providing sufficient lighting and air circulation, and reducing the humidity level. They can also use various foliar sprays to thwart powdery mildew; however, these should be avoided during the flowering period.
When exposed to excess humidity, some Texas Toasted plants may be vulnerable to bud rot. To prevent bud rot, growers can lightly prune the plants, offer ample lighting and air circulation, and keep the humidity level low (below 50 percent) throughout the flowering stage.

Texas toasted was much better than I anticipated. Had a lemon lime scent that was strong with a hint of skunk. Good smoke and didn’t require smoking a boat load to feel the effects. Grade A cannabis forsure. I smoke daily and have smoked and grown many strains and this one stood out for me for the lemonyness

Popped one seed in a 3’x3′ multi strain micro grow. Vegged for 30 days & topped twice. Harvested on day 64. Yield: 81g. dried & cured. She has a good mix of both parent’s traits. Strong Kush & Cookies smells and tastes with an unmistakable skunk spray smell that seems to linger longer than the rest of the scrumptious aromas she exudes. Also notable is an intriguing sweet baby puke/lipgloss ocimine type smell and taste that’s hard to pin down, but very much brings me back to the jar again and again. She grew very vigorously taking over her corner of the tent and was the tallest of the bunch with about a 2.5x stretch. There was some interesting coloration to mention as well: a gorgeous fade from emerald to gold to red in the tips of the leaves. Very unique. (Perhaps some old Panamanian or Colombian genes from the Shoreline?) The smoke is divine in the taste department and offers up a zippy, stony affair in the effects department. A pleasantly cough inducing throat coating draw that motivates & invigorates at first, but eventually mellows into a nice, “tuck you in” sort of stony vibe. Long lasting, potent and LOUD with a wonderful complex sweet & sour palate. I will most certainly be growing Big Tex again! Thank you Greenpoint for a beautiful wonderful winner of a plant. Keep on making that fire!
Won this in the reverse auction. Honestly you will never find a better deal anywhere.
Massive cola’s, very sticky, taste like really sour skunk, very easy to grow, this was me putting absolutely no effort into her, different an amazing strain.
