Neon Prophet
$12.00
Limited Edition. The resurrection of a legend. Neon Prophet represents an aggressive collision between two West Coast titans: the elusive Fruity Pebbles OG (FPOG) and the heavyweight Animal Cookies. This is “Corrective Breeding” at its finestβwe took the “Unicorn” cereal flavor of the $1,500 Alien Genetics auction packs and reinforced it with the rock-hard density and “bleached” frost of the Cookie dynasty. This isn’t just candy; itβs a gas-soaked cereal epiphany.

Neon Prophet: The Exegesis of the Cereal God β A Deep Research Audit of the I-95 Exotic Market
1. Introduction: The Resurrection of “The Sweets”
In the shadowed annals of the modern cannabis trade, where genetics are currency and “hype” is the only commodity that matters, few cultivars carry the weight of both lore and controversy quite like the poly-hybrid formerly known as “The Sweets.” Now rebranded under the moniker Neon Prophet, this cultivar represents a deliberate, almost aggressive collision between two titans of the West Coast genetic library: the elusive, almost mythical Fruity Pebbles OG (FPOG) and the heavyweight potency anchor, Animal Cookies.
This report is not merely a strain review; it is a genealogical autopsy. Writing from the vantage point of the I-95 corridorβthe historic artery of East Coast gas, where “sour” is a religion and “bag appeal” is a commandmentβwe must dissect Neon Prophet with the precision of a molecular biologist and the cynicism of a master breeder. The transition from “The Sweets” to “Neon Prophet” is more than a marketing maneuver by Greenpoint Seeds; it signifies the strain’s ascension from a candy-flavored novelty to a serious contender in the exotic “headstash” market, a market currently suffocating under the weight of watered-down Gelato crosses and instability.
Neon Prophet is a study in “Hybrid Vigor” or heterosis, attempting to solve the structural deficiencies of the lanky, vine-like FPOG while injecting the density, sedative power, and sheer narcotic force of the Cookie lineage. It is a botanical record of the last two decades of cannabis breedingβa “greatest hits” compilation that spans the Emerald Triangleβs outdoor legacy and the high-tech, indoor hydroponic warfare of the modern era.
1.1 The Greenpoint Protocol: “Robin Hood” or “The Chucker”?
To understand the Neon Prophet, one must first understand its architect: Greenpoint Seeds. Originally operating out of Colorado, a state that served as the crucible for the legal recreational market, Greenpoint and its enigmatic founder, Gu, occupy a polarized position in the industry.
In the underground forumsβthe digital speakeasies of Overgrow, THCFarmer, and RollItUpβGreenpoint is viewed through a dual lens. To the home grower operating a 4×4 tent in a prohibition state, they are Robin Hoods. They acquire “Elite,” often “Clone-Only” cutsβgenetics that are typically hoarded by inner circles in Californiaβand “democratize” them. They take a cut like the original Animal Cookies (which might cost $500-$1000 on the black market) and reverse it, creating feminized seeds that are sold via “Reverse Auctions” for pennies on the dollar.
However, to the “Old Head” breeders and the genetic purists, this practice is derided as “chucking.” The criticism is that by constantly crossing elites with other elites (like their famous Stardawg male or the Animal Cookies reversed female), they are flooding the gene pool with unstable poly-hybrids rather than working lines over generations (F1, F2, F3, IBL).
Neon Prophet sits at the center of this debate. It is an F1 poly-hybrid. It is volatile. It is untamed. But, as our analysis will show, within that volatility lies the potential for a “Keeper Pheno” that rivals anything sitting on a top-shelf dispensary jar in Los Angeles or New York.
2. The Matriarch: Fruity Pebbles OG (The Unicorn)
To understand the genetic potential of Neon Prophet, we must first perform a deep-dive extraction on the mother plant: Fruity Pebbles OG (FPOG). In the hierarchy of cannabis legends, FPOG holds the status of a “Unicorn.” It is a strain that everyone claims to have smoked, but few have actually seen in its true form.
2.1 The Alien Genetics Auction Wars (2006-2012)
The origins of FPOG are steeped in the forum wars of the mid-2000s. Alien Genetics, a breeder with a reputation for both brilliance and erratic distribution, released FPOG as a limited-time offer circa 2006. The strain was not merely sold; it was auctioned.
The lore suggests that original packs of FPOG fetched prices upwards of $1,000 to $1,500 per pack (10 seeds) during the peak of the “Alien” hype cycle. This was unheard of at the time, establishing FPOG as a “Veblen Good”βa commodity where high price equals high desire. This scarcity created a vacuum that Greenpoint Seeds eventually filled. If you couldn’t afford the $1,500 Alien pack, you could buy “The Sweets” (Neon Prophet) and get 50% of that genetics for $50.
But the history is murky. Medman, another veteran breeder, has historically engaged in digital warfare with Alien Genetics, claiming that the genetics used to create FPOG were misappropriated from his “Roadkill” project. Medman asserts that Alien took test seeds, renamed them, and built an empire on stolen intellectual property. Whether this is truth or slander is lost to the forum archives, but it adds a layer of grit to the Neon Prophet’s lineage. This is not corporate, sanitized genetics; this is “blood diamond” genetics, born of rivalry and theft.
2.2 Genetic Deconstruction of the “Cereal Cut”
The specific cut of FPOG used by Greenpoint as the mother is the “Cereal Cut.” Biologically, FPOG is a four-way collision, a “polyamorous” hybrid that defies simple Indica/Sativa categorization.
| Genetic Contributor | Role in Neon Prophet | Terpene Contribution | Structural Impact |
|---|---|---|---|
| Green Ribbon (Trainwreck x Afgooey) | The Engine | Terpinolene, Limonene | Adds the “Head Buzz” and resin rail; contributes to the lanky stretch. |
| Granddaddy Purple (GDP) | The Paint | Myrcene, Linalool | Responsible for the Anthocyanins (Purple/Red hues) and the grape/berry undertones. |
| Tahoe OG (OG Kush Pheno) | The Gas | Limonene, Caryophyllene | Adds the “Fuel” and “Lemon Cleaner” notes; contributes the vine-like structure. |
| Alien Kush (Alien Dawg x LVPK) | The Anchor | Pinene, Humulene | Stabilizes the structure; adds “Hashy” and “Incense” notes. |
The Terpene Theory: Why did FPOG become a legend? It wasn’t the potency (which tests around 18-20%, average by modern standards). It was the flavor. FPOG was one of the first strains to move away from the binary of “Skunk” and “Gas” into the realm of “Dessert.” It literally smelled like a bowl of sugary, tropical cereal milk. This profile is driven by a massive concentration of Limonene (citrus) and Myrcene (mango/fruit), modulated by the floral notes of the Green Ribbon.
The Structural Flaw: The flaw of FPOG, and the reason it never became a commercial staple like Blue Dream, is its structure. It grows like a vine. The stems are weak, the internodal spacing is massive (a trait from the Tahoe and Ribbon), and it requires intense trellising. It is a nightmare for the commercial cultivator who wants uniform rows of soldiers.
3. The Patriarch: Animal Cookies (The Hammer)
If FPOG is the “Flash”βthe beautiful, difficult, tasty celebrityβthen Animal Cookies is the “Hammer.” Chosen by Greenpoint Seeds to pollinate the FPOG mother, Animal Cookies acts as a structural and potency corrective.
3.1 The Cookie Family Dynasty & The BC Connection
Animal Cookies (sometimes referred to as Animal Crackers) emerged circa 2013, born from the collaboration between the legendary Cookie Family (Berner, Jigga) and the Canadian powerhouse BC Bud Depot.
The Cookie Family had already changed the world with Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) (Durban Poison x OG Kush). GSC brought density and bag appeal that the world had never seen. However, GSC was a low yielder and slow to veg. To fix this, they crossed the GSC clone with Fire OG.
Fire OG: This is widely considered the most potent of the OG Kush phenotypes. Known as “Raskal’s OG,” it is famous for its red hairs and its “skull-crushing” narcotic high. By crossing GSC with Fire OG, the breeders created “Animal Cookies”βa beast that retained the cookie dough flavor but hit with the force of a freight train.
3.2 The “Stud” Traits of the Animal
In the Neon Prophet project, Greenpoint utilized a Reversed Female Animal Cookies to act as the pollen donor. This means the “Stud” was actually a female plant forced to produce male pollen sacs via STS (Silver Thiosulfate) application. This is crucial because it means the Neon Prophet seeds are feminized (99% female), but they carry the specific traits of that Animal Cookies clone.
- Density: Animal Cookies produces buds that are rock hard. Growers describe them as “golf balls” or “popcorn” that sound like stones when dropped on a tray. This density is the primary trait Greenpoint wanted to inject into the airy FPOG.
- The “Bleach” Frost: Animal Cookies is famous for trichome coverage that looks like the plant was dipped in bleach. It is “white” weed. This enhances the “Neon” aspect of the progeny.
- The “Funk”: While FPOG is sweet fruit, Animal Cookies is “salty/doughy/gassy.” It adds a savory, bakery-like complexity that prevents the cross from being one-dimensional.
4. Breeding Logic: The “Neon Prophet” Hypothesis
The creation of Neon Prophet (The Sweets) is a textbook example of “Corrective Breeding.” Greenpoint identified a specific market gap: Growers loved the smell of FPOG but hated growing it. Conversely, growers loved the power of Animal Cookies but found it slow and finicky.
4.1 Structural Synergy (The “Goldilocks” Effect)
- Vegetative Vigor: FPOG is too stretchy; Animal Cookies is too slow. The hypothesis is that the F1 progeny will exhibit “Hybrid Vigor,” growing faster than the Animal but stacking tighter than the FPOG. Reports from the field confirm this: Neon Prophet tends to have a robust, vegetative frame that supports weight better than the pure FPOG mother.
- Yield Compensation: FPOG is a low yielder. Animal Cookies is a low-to-medium yielder. However, the combination often results in a “Super-Compensatory” effect where the longer branches of the FPOG are filled in by the density of the Animal, resulting in a yield that exceeds both parents (approx. 450-500g/mΒ²).
4.2 Terpene Modulation (The “Entourage”)
The goal was not to erase the FPOG profile but to “bake” it.
- Chemistry: The high Myrcene of FPOG (Sedation/Fruit) + The high Caryophyllene of Animal Cookies (Pepper/Spice/Anti-inflammatory) = A profile described as “Spicy Cereal Milk” or “Gas-Soaked Fruit Loops”.
- The I-95 Appeal: On the East Coast, “Candy” strains are often looked down upon as “weak.” By adding the Fire OG gas from the Animal Cookies, Neon Prophet becomes a “Candy” strain that the “Gas Heads” will actually smoke. It bridges the cultural divide.
5. Phenotype Guide: Hunting the “Prophet”
Because Neon Prophet is an F1 Poly-Hybrid from two unstable parents (FPOG is a 4-way cross; Animal is a 3-way cross), phenotypic variation is high. You are not buying a clone; you are buying a lottery ticket. A “Pheno-Hunt” is required to find the “Keeper Cut.”
5.1 Phenotype A: The “Alien Cereal” (FPOG Dominant)
- Frequency: ~25% of the pack.
- Identification: Look for the tallest plants in the vegetative stage. They will have thinner, lighter green leaves (Sativa influence).
- Flowering: 9-10 weeks. These will stretch 2x-3x in flower.
- Buds: Larger, spear-shaped, slightly airy structure.
- Colors: The most colorful pheno. Neon pinks, magentas, and lime greens.
- Terps: Pure tropical fruit, berries, citrus. Very little gas.
- Verdict: Keep for the flavor, but be prepared to trellis heavily.
5.2 Phenotype B: The “Rabid Animal” (Cookie Dominant)
- Frequency: ~35% of the pack.
- Identification: Short, stout, dark green leaves (Indica influence). Slower to veg.
- Flowering: 9 weeks. Minimal stretch (1.5x).
- Buds: Rock hard “golf balls.” Very high calyx-to-leaf ratio (easy to trim).
- Colors: Deep purple (almost black) leaves, white trichomes.
- Terps: Dough, kush, earth, fuel.
- Verdict: The potency winner. This is the “night night” medicine.
5.3 Phenotype C: The “Neon Prophet” (The Keeper)
- Frequency: ~20-30% of the pack.
- Identification: The perfect hybrid. Vigorous branching but strong stems.
- Flowering: 9-10 weeks.
- Buds: Dense spears that stack from top to bottom.
- Colors: A kaleidoscope. Green buds with purple calyx tips and fiery orange hairs.
- Terps: The “Holy Grail” blend. Smells like a bakery next to a gas station. Cereal milk on the inhale, diesel fuel on the exhale.
- Verdict: CLONE THIS IMMEDIATELY. This is the phenotype that justifies the entire project.
6. Cultivation Intelligence: Growing the Prophet
Neon Prophet is not for beginners. It inherits the nutrient sensitivity of the Cookies and the environmental pickiness of the Alien. It requires an “Intermediate to Expert” hand.
6.1 The “Hermie” Warning
We must address the elephant in the room. Greenpoint Seeds has faced criticism for hermaphroditism (intersex traits) in their feminized lines. The Animal Cookies lineage (specifically the GSC parent) is known to throw “nanners” late in flower if stressed. The Alien lineage is also sensitive.
- Risk Mitigation: Do not use light stress or erratic timers. Ensure your grow room is 100% light-proof.
- Lollipopping: Remove the bottom 1/3 of the plant (the “larf”) at Day 21 of flower. Intersex pollen sacs often appear on these lower, shadowed node sites first. Removing them reduces risk.
6.2 Nutrient Protocol
- Vegetative: Feed lightly. The Animal influence dislikes high Nitrogen. Aim for an EC of 1.2 – 1.5.
- Cal-Mag Dependency: The FPOG lineage is a Calcium/Magnesium hog. If you are growing in coco or hydro, you must supplement Cal-Mag from Week 2 of veg through Week 5 of flower. Look for purple stems or rust spots on leavesβsigns of deficiency.
- The “Fade” Flush: To achieve the “Neon” colors, a harsh flush is necessary. Stop all nutrients 14 days before harvest. The plant will consume the chlorophyll in its leaves, revealing the anthocyanins (purples/reds) underneath. Cold night temperatures (65Β°F) in the final two weeks will accelerate this.
6.3 Crop Steering for Density
To maximize the Animal Cookies density:
- Generative Steering: In weeks 4-7 of flower, allow the medium to “dry back” significantly (to 30-40% moisture capacity) between waterings. This “drought stress” signals the plant that the end is near, forcing it to pump energy into reproductive parts (flowers/resin) rather than leaves.
7. The Experience: A Sensory Audit
7.1 The Chemistry of the High
Neon Prophet interacts with the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) in a biphasic manner.
- Phase 1 (The Prophet): The initial onset (0-30 mins) is dominated by the Green Ribbon/Alien genetics. It hits the CB1 receptors in the brain, triggering a rush of dopamine. Users report “HD Vision,” where colors seem brighter (neon), and a cerebral buzz that is creative and euphoric.
- Phase 2 (The Animal): As the high settles (30 mins+), the Fire OG/GDP genetics take over. The high Myrcene and CBN levels interact with the body, creating a heavy, warming sensation in the limbs. The “muscle melt” sets in. It is not a total knockout (unless you smoke the pure Animal pheno), but it is “couch-lock adjacent”.
7.2 The Flavor Profile (Organoleptics)
- Inhale: Sweet, creamy, sugary. Notes of vanilla, berries, and artificial fruit flavoring.
- Exhale: Sharp, expansive gas. Pine, pepper, and wet earth.
- Room Note: Extremely loud. The volatile terpenes will penetrate drywall. Carbon filters are mandatory.
8. Market Context: The “Exotic” Bubble
Why rename “The Sweets” to “Neon Prophet”? The cannabis market of 2024-2025 is shifting. The “Candy” era (Runtz, Zkittlez, Gelato) is facing consumer fatigue. The market is saturated with sweet strains that lack power.
By rebranding to “Neon Prophet,” the strain evokes a mystical, powerful imageryβmoving away from “candy aisle” branding toward “heady/spiritual” branding. It positions the strain as a tool for exploration, not just a snack.
It competes directly with strains like MAC 1 (Miracle Alien Cookies). Like MAC 1, it uses Alien and Cookie genetics. However, Neon Prophet leans fruitier and sweeter than the savory/citrus MAC 1. It is the “Dessert” alternative to the “Cookie” dominance.
9. Conclusion: The Final Verdict
Neon Prophet is a high-risk, high-reward cultivar. It is not a cash-crop yield monster for the faint of heart. It is a boutique, “Headstash” cultivar designed for the connoisseur who values quality over quantity.
- Pros: Incredible bag appeal (top 1% of the market), complex “Poly-Terpene” profile, heavy hitting potency.
- Cons: Risk of hermaphroditism, requires trellising, sensitive to nutrients, moderate yield.
For the home grower in the I-95 corridor looking for a “Keeper” that will make their friends jealous, Neon Prophet is a mandatory hunt. It captures the history of the auction wars, the potency of the OG legacy, and the flavor of the modern exotic era in a single, volatile seed.

Scream
I was hoping for a FPOG leaning pheno and got it. Couldnβt be happier. If you get a helluva stretch around week 2, youβre in for a treat. Medium to large main colas and medium, hard nugs throughout. It is frosty but not so frosty that Iβd expect a large rosin yield. Hit that thumbs up and Iβll come back with a smoke report after the cure.

Thank you Greenpoint for killer genetics!! The single plant in grey bag is the sweets and The green plant in there is also the sweets. Just super different pheno. The other 2 plants are Sundae stallion two different phenos as well. What I love about these two strains is that they are super resilient to stress. I had 20 degree temp swings and no problems and a interrupted dark cycle at 20 days into flower and never hermed out. Colors came awesome tords the end with the cold. They seemed a little nute sensitive. Couldn’t hit them super hard but that’s cool. Ran them 62 days in flower with 15 day flush. Used Fox farm nutes and followed there secudual and fish shit every watering from seed til flush. Molasses last 40 days of flower. A small handful of ebsom salt in every gallon along with 5ml of cal mag every watering all the way til flush.Same with the Sundae Stallion. Nice and potent smoke with strong sweet flavor and smell with huge bag appeal. I Hope to do better on the next run. I made some mistakes and learned alot. I would grow both of these strains agin in a minit. I did boedaga bubblegum last year and it was great also!! I will definitely be looking at new strains from Greenpoint seeds in the future.

I got mine within 5 days from order. All of them popped within 24 hours. I used a rapid rooter starting kit from HTG supply and it comes with a 50 site set-up with heat mat. All are growing, I have a few images to share. I have the PH at 6.2 steady, temp at 81 and humidity at 58. I am using the BP3000 which is LED and replaces the 600W MH bulb. 4×4 tent. They smell beautiful and get bigger by the day. Right now they are 3 weeks in. There is only one of my images that does not have the trellis net, and they were ten days old in that pic. I Hope this is helpful.

Hands down the best seeds I have ever grown!!! They all popped the same day and all looked the exact same. I didn’t run into any Deficiencies in this grow. I grew four plants final weight was 1.6 pounds not freaking bad!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY I GOT A 12 PACK!!! The next time I grow them I will definitely be doing pheno hunting. Out of the four I had two would have been fantastic Candidates for a mother plant. I wish I could add some pictures of this grow definitely top-shelf stuff here.

Day 35 of flower very frosty strain!
The Sweets made me a lover of Fruity Pebbles OG. All 4 turned out very dank. Was high yielding… And the phenotypes were amazing… Sooo fruity! Please please please release Fruity Pebbles OG feminized seeds… Or regular…
sweets day 28 of flower, smells like lime candy with petrol.
