Sugar Rush is a Greenpoint original made by crossing Shangri-La Runtz as the female with a reversed Blueberry Sugar donor. What makes it worth a slot is that every component can be traced to a documented source rather than to a rumor, which is not true of most of what sits next to it on a shelf.

The Parents

Shangri-La Runtz is documented by Firefly Genetics as Runtz of Eden crossed to White Truffle. Runtz of Eden pairs Runtz, which is Zkittlez crossed to Gelato, with Forbidden Fruit, which is Cherry Pie crossed to Tangie. White Truffle is the Gorilla Butter F2 #12 clone, selected and named by Beleaf out of Fresh Coast’s seed line, which ties in Gorilla Glue #4 and Peanut Butter Breath and, further upstream, Chem’s Sister and Chocolate Diesel.

Blueberry Sugar is listed by Blockhead Buds as Grape Cream 2.1 crossed to Blueberry Frosting. Grape Cream 2.1 combines OGKB 2.1 with Grape Cream Cake, which stitches Ice Cream Cake #5 into Grape Pie crossed to Wedding Crasher. Blueberry Frosting comes through Humboldt Seed Company’s bakery program, Blueberry Muffin crossed to Vanilla Frosting.
