Gorilla Glue #4 is the most famous accident in modern breeding. In the GG Strains garden, Lone Watie’s Sour Dubb and Chem Sis cross threw pollen onto Josey Whales’ Chocolate Diesel. Josey tossed the seeded run, thought better of it, and fished four seeds back out of the trash. One of them was GG4.

They handed clones to friends instead of locking it down, and the plant took the country on word of mouth. Both men have since passed; the plant carries the name on.
