Pioneer Kush
Pre ’98 Bubba Kush crossed to Stardawg. Bubba on its own is a slow grower with a meagre yield. Almost none of the plants out of this cross inherit that, because the Stardawg side takes over.
Pre ’98 Bubba Kush x Stardawg | Regular photoperiod | 10 seeds | 50-60 days | Born-on: Jun 2023
The Cross
A must have for anybody who came up on old school California, and a rare case where the cross is genuinely easier to grow than either parent.
The Parents
Pre ’98 Bubba Kush is the cut that predates everything sold under the Bubba name since, and it is a slow, low yielding plant.
Stardawg is Chem 4 crossed to Tres Dawg, from Top Dawg Seeds, and it is the reason this cross performs.
What’s In The Pack
Ten regular photoperiod seeds, males included. Seedlings grow quickly while staying compact and stout, and almost no plants show the Bubba slow growth. They take Stardawg’s vigor and yield instead, producing big rock solid colas.
In The Garden
50-60 days. Resistant to many pests and diseases and tolerant of minor swings in temperature and pH, though it performs best in a mild climate with moderate humidity.

A beautiful plant that will leave YOU planted after smoking! Presses nicely with a solid return. A beautiful white chocolate taste!

All 11 seeds popped. Unfortunately, we grow outside, and we got hit with tremendous winds in the beginning of the season and some males, so we ended up with 3 plants, but the yields outweigh the trouble. Plants over 5 foot, with the thickest buds we've grown! The branches were horizontal with the weight and smelled up the yard. This is my husband's favorite strain as it helps with eye pain, headaches and insomnia. Yield was incredible; for the three plants was ~5lbs, and the branches needed support! The plants can take heavy nutrients and were champs outside! Highly recommend. (I wanted to gatekeep how good it is, but this is a must try!)

GU’s genetics are real deal! Everything I’ve popped from different packs I’ve found a winners, both male and female. The Stardawg really shines in all the crosses! Found a gem from my Pioneer Kush pack I busted open. Here she is at about 35 days in smelling like tropical lemon fruit with berry and kush aftertones! Can’t wait to see what kind of crosses he comes with next! Appreciate you Gu! #JahBless
Better grab these because you will find this pheno I like to call the wife beater bubba because it is just nasty ! It’s about the best 50/50 cross you could imagine not to mention beautiful. It produces better than pre98 phenos and is a lot stickier not to mention the nose of chem and a lavender that will have you couch locked just looking and smelling it!
Not sure if Pioneer is still discontinued or not ? Had just dropped 2 packs of these. Unfortunately something odd happened to 1 of the packs. And only 3 of 11 came to life. With 100% on 5 other diff packs I know something has not be right. Strong growth on those that made it. Results and photos to follow. Hope no-one else runs into this issue if they are holding vaulted packs !

I grew my pioneer kush outdoors. They were short plants with a full round bush structure. I was able to pull my plants Oct 1st. It was a breath of fresh air to NOT have to grow into Oct. Next year I will push this plant harder.
Tight buds that came down at 60 days. Small yields but good bud!
Popped 2 seeds one smelled kushy and tasted like pine, very dense small buds. Very potent pheno. The other smelled like grape skittles but didnt have a taste, not very dense but not airy.

So far so good! These picks are from day 47 or so, still a couple of weeks I’d say, but things are stacking up quite nicely!
Hey Gu…got this baby going finally and she’s looking great so far…can see the pre’98 genetics show on one of them but you tell if I’m right, will be updating you as I progress until keep those strains coming
