Top Dawg Seeds is JJ NYC, and JJ NYC is the reason Chemdog exists in seed form. He was getting the flower in New York starting in 1992, but the growing started when he traded his Sour Diesel cut to Chemdog himself, straight up, for the Chem D. That trade is the hinge of the modern seed market.

From the Chem D he built Tres Dawg, a double backcross onto an Afghani male. Then he put Chem 4 over Tres Dawg and named the result Stardawg, the plant that turned a Massachusetts parking lot legend into something anyone could grow.

Greenpoint has been building on a single selected Stardawg male from this line since 2014. Every cross below carries JJ’s work in it.
