Texas Chem
A historical resurrection of the legendary “Roadkill” Skunk. Texas Chem unites the elusive Shoreline OG (Texas Shoreline x Deadhead OG) with our Star Dawg stud. This isn’t your typical fruity hybrid; this is a genealogical deep-dive into the “Baby Poop” and “Burnt Rubber” funk of the Texas underground. Expect massive yields, extreme vigor, and a nose that ranges from industrial glue to the authentic, eye-watering Skunk of the 1990s.
Harvested: November 2025
Texas Chem // Shoreline OG Γ Stardawg
Texas Chem is the collision of two American dynasties: the mythic Texas Shoreline Skunk and the Chemdog empire. Greenpoint Seeds took the real-deal Shoreline OG mother (Texas Shoreline Γ Deadhead OG) and dusted it with our battle-tested Stardawg (Chem 4 Γ Tres Dawg) stud. The result is a modern beast that still carries the ghost of 1989 Grateful Dead parking-lot bagseed.
The Grandmother β Texas Shoreline
Born from a seed found in killer weed bought on Shakedown Street at Shoreline Amphitheatre (β89ββ90), this rogue Skunk #1 pheno was hauled back to Galveston, Texas. In that humid, mold-heavy Gulf Coast hell, only one female survived: ropey, foxtailing spears that vented airflow like a swamp cooler and reeked of sulfurous baby-poop/roadkill so loud it cleared rooms. For a decade it ruled Houston/Galveston at $500/oz β a true regional exclusive before the internet ruined everything.
Late 90s the original clone started dying. Texas crew saved it the only way they knew: hit it with Northern Lights #2 (Oasis). The selected female is what circulates today as βShoreline.β Shoreline Genetics later crossed that preservation cut to Deadhead OG (Chem 91 Skunk VA Γ SFV OG) and called it Shoreline OG β the exact mother Greenpoint used.
Why Stardawg?
Stardawg is double-dipped Chemdog (Chem 4 + Chem 91 via Tres Dawg). It slams structure into stretchy, lanky mothers, adds resin rails, and layers greasy fuel over whatever terps the female brings. In Texas Chem it does three things:
- Tightens Shorelineβs wild foxtails into dense, weight-carrying spears
- Turns the recessive baby-poop VSCs into a chem-soaked garlic nightmare
- Doubles down on Chemdog 91 from both sides of the pedigree
Rough genetic pie: 75% Chemdog/OG complex, 25% Texas Shoreline Skunk. Thatβs why most keepers lean hard Chem/Fuel with a rotting-fruit backnote instead of pure roadkill β the sulfur is there, but recessive.
Pheno Hunt Guide
- Chem Dom (common): Tennis-ball glue, burnt tire, lemon cleaner. Easy, high-yielding, commercial fire.
- Skunk Leaner (less common): Sweet rot, kool-aid, faint diaper. Still gassy but fruitier.
- Unicorn (rare): Full-on garlic-chemical-baby-poop with Stardawg density. This is the keeper every old head prays for.
Grow Info
9β10 week flower Β· 2Γ stretch (train hard) Β· Fox-tailing spears that purple hard when nights drop Β· Stinks worse than 99% of modern strains, triple carbon or grow outdoors.
Texas Chem isnβt the pure 1989 cut β nothing circulating today is β but itβs the closest most of us will ever get while still pulling modern yields and bag appeal. For the heads who remember when weed smelled like danger, this one hits home.

This was my first grow ever and I could be happier with the results I got from this strain from Greenpoint Seeds. Iβm down in New Mexico and I have 2 of these growing out in the heat as I type this and they are doing great. But for the first grow I wads in a gorilla grow 4 x 4 and 420 watt mars hydro led. 5 gallon cloth bags with a mixture of Ocean Forrest and Coco Loco from Fox farms. Used the trio, got great results. Super big yield I think I got close to half a pound. Buds were dense wreaking of fuel. I ordered these because of the great description of that Gas smell and it is exactly on point. The stone is incredible. To the moon for hours. Everyone that got lucky enough to smoke this stuff keeps asking for more. My new favorite strain.

Probably the best smelling and best tasting plant I found on greenpoints catalog so far. It actually kept its terps and didnβt taste like soil. I try to stay away from their cookies line and so far itβs been smooth sailing. Heisen was right when he said the shoreline he received was the best smelling plant heβs ever crossed for greenpoint.

Absolutely blown away by the looks and smell of this plant. Pure skunk with a hint of rubber. Grows big and stretches a lot, takes a little longer in flower, plant didn't require too much special treatment. Lots of resin. I love it.

Germinated 3 seeds, with 3 of 3 seeds sprouting. Within 2 days all seeds had long (1β) tails and awesome vigor. Has been 3 weeks since planting and these plants are starting to stink - tennis ball/rubber/ funk. Canβt wait to take cuttings and flip to flower. I suspect a carbon filter will be a must for these plants.

This lady is a monster. A little finicky but will damn near out grow anything. Smoke psychedelic

Growing next to 3 other cultivarsβ¦TexasChem is by far the most vigorous. Genetics seem to be sativa leaning based on longer side branches and thinner fan leaves. TXChem is the lower left and 1 month from seed crack.

This is my first review. I am a private person. So, these are just as described. These ladies have some serious funk behind them. I have been laying low and growing different breeders for many, many years. Greenpoint (GU) is my go to for the last 5 years or so. This Texas Chem is 4 weeks from flip, ranges between 5 and 6′ per plant and are likely to fatten up in the next couple weeks. The scent will change throughout the plant stages and hit almost every description provided. I’ve gotten a bushy sativa pheno and spear-like pheno. All are very sticky with trichome heads in close proximity. There are double-serrated leaves indicating some type of skunk lineage. I can attest.. Anything Stardawg touches makes a strong plant. My advice on this one is to top early and often, establish a support system, prune as required to eliminate undergrowth and you will get the most out of her. Im looking forward to harvesting her. Thanks for your time.
Haven’t smoked it yet but planted 3 and 3 popped female. Pic is 40 days into flower
This is what the youngsters especially in the hip hop crowd call gas, this is strait gas, when I touch this plant it smells like when you finish filling at the gas pump simple as that ,she is big and vigorous so have space if you want to grow her,I’m about a month away from harvest I have one that’s around 5 foot but the buds are heavy ,I should of topped and trained a little earlier my self but I have the space, if you love that old school gas funk, trust me this is the one.
7.5 weeks into flower, popped 4 seeds, 4/4 females, one mutant short and bushy, other 3 phenos similar in structure with more sativa type growth. 2 have almost exactly the same smell, sour with a hint of floor cleaner, my favorite pheno is the burnt rubber pheno, rock hard nugs (other 3 are pretty loose with a lot of foxtails) smells like burnt rubber, kerosene, and latex gloves. Will post back after harvest in the next few weeks. Buying two more packs I’ve been so impressed with these ladies.
Killer phenotypes.

Starting week 6 in flower. Popped 3, got 2 females. Both fairly consistent looking. Strong stems and both stunk in veg. Handles nutes well. Stacking up hard now, and frosting up, looking killer. Filter is on 24/7, but the stink is starting to creep out the tent. Very very happy with Texas Chem.
