Copper Chem
$65.00
Pure Chemdog in seed form. Copper Chem stacks both faces of the family, Chem 4‘s flavor and Chem D‘s raw power, by crossing Chem 4 back over Stardawg. Chemdog on Chemdog. Regular seeds, photoperiod, 9 to 10 week flower. Massive yield, gas-soaked flavor, relentless resin, and the cleanest potent backbone you can build a breeding project on. Our flagship for eleven years running.
Harvest Date: Feb 2026
Copper Chem
Chem 4 × Stardawg
Chemdog on Chemdog. The matriarch of modern cannabis, in its purest seed form.
“Strip almost any heavy hitter on the shelf today back to its roots and you will find Chemdog putting in the potency and the resin. Copper Chem is that engine in its purest form. If you are serious about gas, this is the foundation, not a nice to have.”
Greenpoint Seeds Genetic Archive
Genetic Architecture
100% Chemdog
There is no outside flavor here and no unstable wildcard. Copper Chem pulls from the entire Chem 4 and Chem D gene pool and keeps only the cuts worth keeping. Same genetics, different phenotypes, concentrated into one pack.
The Engine Room
Where the Potency Comes From
Copper Chem is our flagship, and it has been for eleven years, because nothing does more for a serious garden or a serious breeding program than a true Chemdog. Chem is the engine room of modern cannabis, the whole line tracing back to Greg Krzanowski’s legendary 1991 bag seed. It is where the strength and the resin originate, and it sits quietly in the lineage of half the loud strains you can name.
We built it by crossing Chem 4 to Stardawg, and Stardawg is itself Chem 4 run back over a Chem D backcross. So you are not blending in some outside profile. You are stacking Chemdog on Chemdog, pulling from both sides of the family and concentrating it. The Chem 4 side is the flavor. The Chem D side is the raw power. Together they are the most complete expression of the line we offer in seed form.
The Parents
Two Faces of the Same Family
Chem 4 Mother
The flavor and the structure. Sweeter, rounder, with that guava, sweet and sour edge. Leans toward the chunky, stout, indica side of the family and brings the boosted yield Chem 4 is known for.
Stardawg Father
Top Dawg Seeds’ Stardawg is Chem 4 run back over Tres Dawg, a Chem D heavy backcross. That Chem D influence is the raw power: grungier, dirtier, skunkier, funkier, the kind of dank that fills a room. This is where the gas turns up.
Why Breeders Reach For It
A Clean Palette With Power Baked In
This is where Copper Chem earns its place, and it is the part most people sleep on. Chemdog hands you a clean, potent palette to build on. Whatever you cross into it brings the strength, the yield, and the resin for free, which leaves you free to paint any flavor or profile you want over the top of that backbone.
And because Chem is the matriarch of so many modern strains, it does not fight the gene pool, it slots right back into it. Cross a popular modern hybrid to Stardawg and the shared Chem lineage expresses, so you can actually isolate the trait that made that strain famous and pull it back out in seed form. This is not dragging some wild landrace sativa into your project and praying. It is the foundation those strains were built on in the first place.
Inside Baseball
Run Chem 4 back over Copper Chem and you are refining the Dog one more generation, hunting an even better version of something that was already elite. That is the whole game here. You start from the best and you keep going.
The Hunt
What You Will Find in a Pack
The gap between Chem 4 and Chem D is exactly what makes this such a rich pack to pop. Whether you want a flavor keeper, a bruiser, or the balanced cut that captures both, they are in there.
The Chem 4 Leaner
The flavor pheno. Sweeter and rounder with the guava, sweet and sour edge. Chunky, stout structure on the indica side of the family. The one you keep for taste.
The Chem D Bruiser
Raw power. Grungy, dirty, skunky, funky, room filling dank. The most potent expression in the pack and the loudest nose. Not subtle, and not trying to be.
The Copper Keeper
The balanced Stardawg type that lands the gas, the flavor, and the structure all at once. Rare, and the cut worth chasing. This is the one most growers will clone and never let go.
The Nose
Loud Is the Point
Diesel
Gear Grease
Sour Lemon Rind
Acetone
Pine Cleaner
Rye Bread
Motor oil, diesel, gear grease, sour lemon rind, acetone, and pine cleaner, all riding on that unmistakable Chemdog gas. Some Chem 4 leaning phenos pull toward pine and citrus, while the Chem D side leans skunk and funk. Many longtime smokers say it takes them straight back to the Chemdog they smoked in their teens.
It carries. This is not a stealth plant. You will smell it from down the block, so run carbon filtration in tight quarters. That loudness is the whole point.
In the Room
Hardy, Forgiving, Built to Yield
Structure
Dense, spear shaped, trichome caked flowers. Mostly lime green with the odd rare purple pheno. Medium height, tight internodal spacing, strong branching.
Medium
Equally at home indoor or out, soil or hydro, synthetic or organic. It adapts to whatever you run.
Resilience
Hardy and forgiving. Shrugs off swings in light, temp, pH, and feed better than most. Naturally resistant to mold and most common pests.
Watch For
Keep humidity down, air moving, and temps in the mid 70s to stay ahead of powdery mildew. A few Chem D leaning phenos throw light leaf variegation if they get hungry, so keep cal-mag in the rotation and your pH stable.
Eleven years of putting out Chemdogs. Copper Chem is still the cornerstone of the catalog.
Copper Chem ├─ Chem 4 (mother) └─ Stardawg (father) ├─ Chem 4 └─ Tres Dawg (Chem D)
If you are serious about potency, serious about resin, or serious about breeding, Copper Chem is not a nice to have. It is the foundation. A collection without a Chemdog this clean is missing its base.

There is a reason that this is the flagship strain of GPS. Consistency of phenotypes, MASSIVE yield, and potency are just a few of things worth mentioning. There’s the pinesol pheno, then theres the lemony skunk smelling pheno, then theres the pure fuel. My favorite strain. I could care less for feminized seeds for the sake of getting these dialed in. This strain put these guys on the map, for me at least. Too bad theres a 5 star limit. This strain deserves 50 stars. No exaggeration. If you have time and space grab at least 2 packs of these.

My Copper Chem is just getting ready to harvest. Very similar looking pheno as Oggy's, shown Topped once around the 3rd node, and has several large, dense tops, trichomes galore! This cola accidentally snapped, as I was using bamboo stakes, yet that cola was not affixed, and snapped, hanging low. Next check in, it had snapped the stem and was starting to dry. I might as well test this cola, as it's looking like it's getting cloudy trichs! A beautiful strain! I'll always be back to grow Greenpoint Seeds!

Every seed sprouted 9 females in the bunch, just one word fantastic I’m going to say it again fantastic here’s a picture
Let me first say that this is some fantastic herb. I popped 3 beans and ended up with two females from that. One had a very sour scent. One had a very sweet scent. I also popped 3 dynamite diesel for this run and ended up with 2 females also. 100% germ rate using “Subcools” rapid rooter method. Growth was vigorous. Bud to leaf ratio was excellent and the bud density was very nice and tight. 73 days to ripeness for both. The sour was a bit gassy and floral. Delicious. The sweet pheno was just as delicious with a mild yogurt finish. Super nice. Potent as F! A very stony buzz with legs. All in all I was very impressed. I let them grow straight up to the 5th node and topped them back to the 3rd. Then i tied them down and opened up the split to light. 10 week veg because of all my LST work and training. Be careful with this strain. pretty easy to hit the lights. lots of stretch. Node spacing is about perfect for me at about 5 inches. I got 7 half gallon wide mouth jars of nice dried nug from each plant. Considering they were all under 5 feet tall thats pretty good. Tastes better than anything at the local dispensary. All in all im very happy with this plant and cant wait to grow it again. (However i just popped an 11 pack of “Eagle Scout” with 100% germ rate using “subcools” rapid rooter method.
This is my first experience growing Greenpoints gear. So Far im thrilled and have 2 more projects going involving their geneitics. This is the first time ive ended up with something that looks just like the pic on the breeders website.
Im a Seahawks fan for life. But this time ive got to give some real love to Denver. This is a great product. Cheers. ill post a few pics when i figure out how. 🙂
I ran canna coco on the low end of the EC chart with 35% perlite. Full line. .7 -.8 EC in Veg seemed to be enough. Bumped up to .9 EC at peak in flower. All of which under 2000 watts in a 5×9 gorilla grow tent.
One of the best strains I’ve ever grown. Checks all the boxes and super easy to find amazing phenos I’ve had two that were just top notch. Thank you Greenpoint.
i was very lucky popped 5 beans and got 5 females they respond well to topping and LST this is without a doubt one nasty ass palnts stinky fuel and garlic this is couch lock bud which there were pelnty off great yield and great smoke

popping 1 at a time, this female was fire. smelled like straight curry when drying.flowers could have been a little denser but no other complaints.
My first run with GPS gear. Very happy, the copper chems all had hollow stems and were hard to clone
9 out of 11 seeds germ’d and 6 made it through the seedling stage. Some smell fruity, one smells like straight up rubber.
Very happy with the yield and quality. The customer service has been excellent too!
Thanks GPS, Heisen, and Gu. Looking forward to the next run! So many choices haha
