Magenta Mountains
Everything people love about GDP—the sweet grape taste, the bag appeal—actually comes from its parent, Purple Urkle. Magenta Mountains is our attempt to perfect that lineage. Instead of crossing Urkle with Big Bud (which dilutes potency), we crossed it with the powerhouse Star Dawg.
Magenta Mountains: The Evolution of Purple
Forget what you know about Grand Daddy Purple. The legend of GDP was built on the back of Purple Urkle. Urkle provided the taste, the smell, and the color, while Big Bud just provided the bulk. Magenta Mountains returns to the source—the original Purple Urkle cut—and pairs it with the modern power of Star Dawg to create a vastly improved purple experience.
Why Magenta Mountains Exists
We made this cross to solve a problem. The original Purple Urkle is a slow-growing, short plant that lacks vertical vigor. By crossing it with Star Dawg, we have corrected the growth structure.
- The Urkle Influence: delivers the “true” grape flavor, dense rock-hard buds, and the heavy indica body effect.
- The Star Dawg Influence: acts as the engine. It adds the necessary stretch, speeds up the vegetative growth significantly, and drastically increases the THC percentage and resin content.
Collector’s Note
This is a “one-and-done” drop. These seeds were bred for a specific backcrossing project within Greenpoint Seeds. We are releasing the small surplus of stock to the public. This is your opportunity to grab a pack of something that won’t be in the catalog forever—a piece of breeding history that bridges the gap between old-school flavor and modern potency.

This strain was pretty simple to grow. She basically did all of the work. But she struggled in the beginning of January.
