Magenta Mountains
The legend of Grand Daddy Purple was built on Purple Urkle. Urkle provided everything anybody wanted and Big Bud provided bulk. Magenta Mountains cuts Big Bud out and goes to the source, then fixes Urkle’s real problem, which is that she is slow, short and has no vertical vigor.
Purple Urkle x Star Dawg | Regular photoperiod | 10 seeds | 50-60 days
The Cross
Forget what you have been told about GDP. Every trait people credit it with traces back through Urkle. Big Bud added weight and diluted the rest.
The Urkle influence delivers the flavor, rock hard flowers and the frame. The Star Dawg influence is the engine: it adds the stretch she does not have, speeds up vegetative growth considerably, and increases resin.
The Parents
Purple Urkle is the California purple the whole category got measured against and the plant that gave Grand Daddy Purple everything it was known for. The cut used here came through CSI Humboldt, who have spent years preserving lines exactly like this one while the market chased whatever was new.
Star Dawg is Chem 4 crossed to Tres Dawg, from Top Dawg Seeds.
What’s In The Pack
Ten regular photoperiod seeds, males included. This was a one and done drop, not made to be remade. Rooted clones of selections 101 and 162 are offered separately when available.
In The Garden
50-60 days, which is fast for this lineage and is the practical payoff of the Star Dawg side. Mostly indica structure with enough added stretch to work in a real canopy.

Had two nice purps phenos (see pics). The one that had more Stardawg lean finished faster and frostier (8.5weeks), the one that was more purps leanin had less frost, better terps and finished in 10.

This strain was pretty simple to grow. She basically did all of the work. But she struggled in the beginning of January.
