Glazed Grape Pie
Cannarado’s Grape Pie against Marcel’s Platinum Lemon Cherry Gelato. Two purple lines from two different traditions, one out of the seed side of the business and one out of a Detroit room that spent years closed to outsiders.
Grape Pie x Platinum Lemon Cherry Gelato | Feminized photoperiod | 6 seeds | 58-70 days
The Cross
Both parents throw color and both got there differently, which is the reason to put them together rather than run either alone.
The Parents
Grape Pie is Cannarado Genetics’ work, and the plant that changed what purple meant in this market. Before it, purple mostly meant a cold shocked plant with nothing else going on.
Platinum Lemon Cherry Gelato is Marcel’s phenotype selection, known as TheLeafDocta, out of Lemon Cherry Gelato, which is Gelato crossed to Super Lemon Haze. The Platinum designation refers to crystalline, brittle trichome architecture with elongated stalks and oversized heads, rather than to anything about how it reads.
What’s In The Pack
Six feminized photoperiod seeds. Expect real color expression from both sides.
In The Garden
58-70 days. Cookies family feeding: calcium and magnesium above baseline, steady pH, airflow once the flowers tighten.

Very easy grow, frosty and fun, Soaked 4, got 4. Did 3 weeks in Happy Frog in Solo cup, at 9" up-potted to 2 gal FFOF & flipped to 12/12. 3 weeks later they'd tripled in height to 27". Used Recharge once weekly & Cal Mag twice weekly starting 3rd week of flower. Buds good sized & firm, harvested F67. Sampled a small pinch at end of dry, very relaxing. I'll mention if you look at the pics, that to my naked eye there's no where near as much frost as what the camera picks up AND the purples are also much more pronounced vs my eyes. Very happy with the whole experience, look forward to growing it again.

Due to an unfortunate accident 5/6 seeds got crushed. Super depressing. I popped the remaining seed and the results are stunning. She stretched a lot but was quite easy to manage other than that. Pictures are day 56 of flower.

A new personal favorite. No issues growing, good sized flowers, the purple color really came in towards the end of flowering as I brought tent temp down. Hope they offer more of these.
