The mother of Golden Nugget, Golden Goat, is a “happy accident,” an unintentional three-way cross from Kansas of Romulan, a Hawaiian sativa, and Island Sweet Skunk. She is especially popular in Colorado, and it is a curiosity why she has not made her way elsewhere in the country. The many high points of Golden Goat are in her aroma, flavor, effect, ease-of-growth, and yield.

Golden Goat x Stardawg
The mother of Golden Stardawg, Golden Goat is a “happy accident,” an unintentional three-way cross from Kansas of Romulan, a Hawaiian sativa, and Island Sweet Skunk. She is especially popular in Colorado, and it is a curiosity why she has not made her way elsewhere in the country. The many high points of Golden Goat are in her aroma, flavor, effect, ease-of-growth, and yield. Golden Goat smells and tastes like a soda factory dumpster in July. She is syrupy and almost sickly-sweet, with tropical flavors of lemon, lime, citrus, mango, and exotic fruit juices. She is quick-flowering and high-yielding, especially for a sativa. Golden Goat’s lengthy high is euphoric and, when grown properly, can even be psychedelic. Her potency is easy to underestimate, and paranoia is a distinct possibility.
Stardawg improves on the Golden Goat in every manner. Taking after both parents, Golden Stardawg is easy to grow, high-yielding, and has a superb bouquet. Some Golden Stardawg plants smell like a candied green apple, and many phenotypes have a “sour candy” aroma going for them. Obviously, the Stardawg favorably imparts some of his sour funk onto the cross. Golden Stardawgs effect is appropriate for daytime use, with many reporting the smoke to be euphoric, clear, and even energizing.
Unique phenotypes abound in this cross, with purple coloring and incredible aromas not contained by either parent. The smoke is typically very manageable without sacrificing potency or satisfaction. Fruity sativa lovers will love this one; if you’ve been searching for the Golden Goat, Golden Stardawg is a first introduction that will spoil you rotten. Be sure to also check out Purple Badlands if you prefer sweet, citrus aromas. Greenpoint Seeds provides discrete, worldwide shipping at exceptional delivery speeds.

After running a pack of these I am very impressed. The keeper I chose has an earthy, spicy, fruity aroma and appears to be rolled in sugar. She’s completely covered in trichomes and a very potent daytime smoke. All the females had a great calyx to leaf ratio and were full of vigor. This one will be in our stables for years to come. The stardawg did it again!
Excellent smoke. Leaned more toward the chem side.
All seeds popped with a good female to male ratio. All females turned out high quality bud with some having a good amount of purple tones. Each one was different, but compelling. I tested the two overall best to see which one to keep. One came in at 23% THC the other came in at 25.2%. All produced dense, chunky nugs covered in copious amounts of resin.
Popped 7 of the regular Golden Nugget (Stardawg), all 7 came up without any issues. Ended up with 4 females and 1 qualified keeper male. Keeper male had really nice branching, strong/thick stems, and a very nice skunky/fruity smell. The 4 females were pretty unique in phenos, with 2 of them being very similar in growth/bud structure.
The smells I’m getting out of the phenos are: multi citrus fruit basket, skunky fruit with chem backnotes, a full fledged chem musky sock, and one that reeks like model glue for model plane/car hobbyists (started off with that signature chem 4 pinesol smell and eventually turned into even more acrid ‘model glue’.
I’m posting pics of all 4 females at about day 65 for flower, I’m pulling these down on day 75 and letting one of the phenos go a few more days/week as it appears to be more sativa leaning (this is the skunky fruit with chem backnotes one).
Overall I was incredibly impressed with the vigor of these plants in veg, the frostiness of these plants in flower, and the overall variability of the phenotypes presented, I would have a very hard time picking THE keeper from this run as all 4 females brought something unique to the table. If I was forced to pick one right now, it’d be the model glue smelling plant, though the sativa leaner is a close second place. The Stardawg chem lines were very heavily represented in all the phenos, and as someone who was looking for more Golden Goat leaning phenos, I still was incredibly happy with the end results. I would recommend GPS and Golden Nugget (Stardawg) seeds to anyone who would ask.

The best DNA ever. These plants are crazy strong and prolific. Take a look at these babies born on 08/09/18 🙂
Soaked 3 beans on 6/23 and all 3 popped within 12 hours! Went straight into coco and all 3 were above ground on 6/26. This pic is 18 days from soaking. Looking great so far! So glad I found Greenpoint! Cant wait to see how they turn out! Got an excellent deal on reverse auction and cant wait to order again. Definitely going to be my go to from here on out! Got a bonus seed and some awesome gifts with my order as well!!! Thanks GP!!! This is just my second grow and the seedlings are way healthier than the two strains I got from overseas for my first grow! Not to mention almost half the price and I received them in less than a week after payment! I will try to update when I go into flower and my end results.
Update on my August 2018 review. We’ve ran it a few more times. Dense, high yielding, resin dripping nugs. Easy to grow. Not a lot of stretch, Indica structure. Indica leaning, heavy hitter.
I got this pack before it was sold out ! Beautiful healthy fat seeds.
great
This one is covered in trichomes and a good example of golden goat.
I used gold nuggets to get these on reverse auction, good deals to be had at auction if your patient.
Good strain and good deal too. Thanks GPS!
