Dawg's Waltz

Dawg’s Waltz Strain

Dawg’s Waltz is a superb cannabis strain that leaves growers and users dancing on air. This Indica-dominant hybrid combines the fruity flavor and relaxing stone of Purple Urkle with the skunky aroma and hefty yields of Tres Dawg to create a true powerhouse of a strain.

This cultivar was created in 2006 by Top Dawg Seeds in collaboration with High & Lonesome Seed Company. The breeders used a select Tres Dawg male to pollinate the classic Purple Urkle strain. Some time later, a grower known as “Forty” discovered a particularly potent phenotype of Dawg’s Waltz, dubbed the “Poodle Nuts” cut.

Strain Review

The Dawg’s Waltz strain is loaded with terpenes, emitting a complex aroma that is fruity and funky. Grinding up the flowers releases pungent notes of diesel, pine, and skunk, with sweet undertones of red wine and blackberry. The flavor is sweet, earthy, and spicy, with a lingering taste of grape and pine on the exhale.

Dawg’s Waltz unites the sedating stone of Purple Urkle with the uplifting cerebral rush of Tres Dawg to deliver a perfectly balanced effect. The high comes on swiftly, quieting the mind and numbing the body. The strain’s potent Indica effects make it a popular choice for medical cannabis users suffering from pain and insomnia. And with an average THC content of 18 percent, the high won’t be too intense for inexperienced users.

This strain is very simple to grow and can thrive indoors and outdoors in a wide range of environments. Thanks to its compact structure, Dawg’s Waltz is a great option for growers with limited space. Despite its small size, the strain produces medium to large yields in just eight to nine weeks.
