Stardawg 2009 x Stardawg 2011
Stardawg F2 is a phenomenal Stardawg backcross that epitomizes everything its fans love about the strain. Our breeders created this F2 cross by selecting two outstanding phenotypes from a Stardawg F1 project and breeding them over many generations. Over time, the perfect Stardawg F2 was born, boasting all of the best qualities of the Stardawg line and none of the less favorable ones. Indeed, the F2 generation has all the qualities of the original Stardawg with enhanced traits, as well.
This particular cultivar features diverse flavors that bring out the Chem D and Afghan #1 from the Tres Dawg in the cross. Growers should expect new and exciting phenotypes from our Stardawg F2 seeds that will produce exceptional yields and an absolutely captivating bag appeal. Stardawg cannabis strain flavors often include Chem, skunk, cleaning solution, and rubber cement.
Origin of Stardawg
Cannabis prohibition has made it difficult to track the lineage of most varieties available today. The Stardawg strain is no exception. However, we can deduce that the cultivar came from the Oregon-born strain, Dog Bud, sometime in the late 1980’s.
During a 1991 Grateful Dead Tour, a couple of guys from Colorado linked up with a fellow fan from Massachusettes to enjoy a particularly stellar smoke sesh. When smoking on their Dog Bud stash, they noticed a few loose seeds and decided to turn them into something spectacular. They popped the bag seeds to discover one of them, now called Chemdawg 4, had especially attractive features, including potent buds and an intense aroma of chemicals and skunk.
To develop Stardawg, these budding breeders (get it??) crossed Chem 4 with another in the Dog Bud line, Tres Dawg. By combining these two powerful varieties, they created the cannabis cultivar powerhouse, Stardawg.
Our breeders have been in awe of the Stardawg line for decades. In an effort to improve its potency and overall potential, we’ve backcrossed the best Stardawg phenotypes to improve resilience, strength, and its show-stopping presence. In doing, Stardawg F2 was born.
Stardawg Lineage: Chem 4 x Tres Dawg
Stardawg is a cross of Chem 4 and Tres Dawg that is especially popular for her amazing effects, high yields, and aromas that tug at the senses. Hailing from such an impressive line, it’s no wonder that Stardawg is such an important team player for breeders and cannabis connoisseurs everywhere.
Chem 4
Chemdawg 4 is one of many prestigious cultivars in the Chemdawg line. Unlike her sisters, Chem 4 displays predominantly Sativa qualities, including its notoriously uplifting effects and larger-than-average growth structure.
The buds are light green with a dotting of deep red hairs throughout the flower. They develop a thick coat of trichomes, which radiate the pungent aroma of pine and earth. The mouth-watering flavors of sour lemon, pine, and fuel are common among most Chem 4 phenos, as is an uplifted, creative euphoria that accompanies its consumption.
Notably, some users report that Chem 4 has more sedative qualities than most Sativas, thereby prompting many to classify it as another indica-dominant Chem strain. However, much of the lethargy brought on by Chem 4 consumption relates to the maturity of its cannabinoid content. As such, those who prefer energetic, uplifting highs over the more sedative highs should harvest their Chem 4 buds before its trichomes turn amber.
Chem 4 works well in a wake-and-bake scenario thanks to the long-lasting mind and body high she induces. However, those with lengthy task lists or a need to concentrate for long periods should consume Chem 4 in moderation, taking only a single hit until they are familiar with its effects. Chem 4 has an exceptionally high THC level, which may slow a busy day if not kept in check.
Medical Applications of Chem 4
Chem 4 has an extensive list of medical applications, including nausea relief and an increased appetite. As such, this is a great variety to help those suffering from anorexia or cancer-related symptoms. It may also help dull pain related to arthritis or other chronic pain conditions and help reduce the severity of ADHD, PTSD, and bipolar disorder.
Growing Chem 4
Chem 4 can be challenging to grow for novices. Though she does well both indoors and outdoors, she requires adequate attention, nutrition, and support. Intermediate growers who provide a comfortable environment, sufficient lighting, and plenty of healthy nutrients should witness substantial development during its average nine- to ten-week flowering period. Growers will be especially impressed with its rapid bud development, though they should keep the size in check by switching to flower at approximately half its intended size. When grown outdoors, Chem 4 can reach as tall as seven feet, producing a massive yield as it develops.
Tres Dawg
The Tres Dawg in the cross is a double back cross of Chemdawg and Sensi Seeds Afghan #1. Its parent, Chemdawg, is a three-time Cannabis Cup award-winner thanks to its potency and incredible flavor. With THC levels averaging between 20 and 25 percent, Tres Dawg holds true to its heritage as a cannabis variety that will go down in history.
Tres Dawg (a.k.a. Violet 25) is a well-balanced 50/50 hybrid with deep green buds and a slight purple hue. The bright orange pistils contrast the buds’ deep colors, overshadowed only by its thick trichome blanket. Buds produce an earthy, citrus smell early in the plant’s development. With a proper cure, the dense flowers will emit hints of spice and pine, as well.
Tres Dawg produces a thick smoke, which some users may find unappealing. However, this could serve as a safety mechanism by encouraging slow consumption. To be clear, smoking too much Tres Dawg quickly could cause paranoid feelings due to its exceptionally high THC level. Whereas seasoned smokers find great joy in Tres Dawg’s potent effects, novice or inexperienced consumers may find it a bit too intense in large doses.
Generally, most users report an immediate sense of euphoria following Tres Dawg consumption. The experience soon transitions into more introspection, though, leaving users with a spacy way of behaving. As such, interpersonal activities or those that require a certain level of concentration may not be the best activity to engage in following a Tres Dawg smoke sesh.
Medical Applications of Tres Dawg
Tres Dawg is a great medical option because it contains trace amounts of CBD (around 0.5 percent) in addition to its high THC levels. Though CBD has no psychoactive qualities, medical users prefer its varied list of applications, including relief from anxiety, pain, nausea, inflammation, and epilepsy.
Though Tres Dawg’s CBD content is lower than most strains intended exclusively for medical purposes, its high THC content makes up for it by inducing sleep and relieving chronic pain. The synergistic effect between the Tres Dawn cannabinoids and terpenes provides an array of relief for both the mind and the body.
Growing Tres Dawg
Tres Dawg is easy to grow regardless of experience. The plant is thick and resilient and can withstand minor environmental stressors relatively well. However, she does tend to produce bushier plants, thanks to her Indica dominance. As such, some growers suggest thinning out fan leaves throughout the flowering period to encourage air circulation and improve light penetration.
Experienced growers should collect a generous harvest after about eight weeks of flowering.
Stardawg Qualities
The Tres Dawg’s Chem 4 parent is known for its rubber band and bleach-like aroma, and plentiful yields which pass easily to the Tres Dawg offspring. Consumers often report aromas similar to morning breath, roadkill, truck stops, and skunk – all of which are fine qualities in a cannabis cultivar!
Stardawg’s chunky flowers are perfectly dense with the structure every cannabis fan loves. This cultivar stacks colas of radiant resin-coated buds that fade to lime green during the flush. As Stardawg begins to near harvest, growers will delight in the aromas of sour Chem, burnt rubber, and cleaning solution. Stardawg produces some highly sought after-effects that give users a burst of energy, focus, and stimulated social interaction.
Stardawg is an ideal all-day variety that helps lower stress and stimulate the appetite. With an average THC content at 20 percent or less, Stardawg is not as powerful as some of its predecessors, allowing the completion of daily tasks to come relatively easily following consumption. Having said that, the effects can creep up on a person; those with limited Stardawg experience should pace themselves when consuming this unique strain. Users should expect the experience to last about two or three hours.
Growing Stardawg Cannabis Seeds
Stardawg is an excellent cultivar for all levels of growers. Novice growers can learn to train the plants with stakes or a trellis net without too much stretch. For example, they may try topping the Stardawg plant after at least four to six nodes develop. Topping will improve Stardawg growth by stimulating extra node production just below the cut line. Those who wish to avoid topping can just bend the stem near its breaking point for the same results.
Moreover, experienced growers can use this as an opportunity to experiment and develop new Chem cultivars. To be clear: this is an excellent opportunity for advanced and seasoned growers to learn how to maximize yields and push cannabis plants to their full potential. Stardawg is resilient and very forgiving and produces breath-taking cultivars every time.
Harvesting, Trimming and Curing Stardawg F2
Stardawg is generally ready for harvest about eight weeks into flowering. The buds should be plump and ripe with mature, milky-amber trichomes. For a more uplifting high, growers should harvest their Stardawg buds when the trichomes are totally milky and yet to turn amber. Conversely, for a more sedative experience, growers can leave buds to mature a little longer. Ideally, they should wait until about one-quarter to one-half of the trichomes turn an amber color. Growers can determine the condition of the developing trichomes with a magnifying glass that is set at 40x or higher.
When it’s time to harvest, growers should remove the entire stem containing the ripe buds. Wet trim the nugs by removing the large fan leaves first to discard them. Next, growers should trim and shape the buds, then hang them upside down from a node on the branch they are still attached to.
Note: sometimes growers will remove the ripe buds while leaving lower, less mature buds to continue development.
Once the stem snaps instead of bending, it’s time for the next step. At this point, growers should remove the buds from the stem and place them in a sealable glass jar for curing. This drying process should take roughly four to seven days depending on humidity. Open (or “burp”) the jars once or twice daily for a few minutes at a time until no signs of moisture remain (either visual or olfactory).
The curing process usually takes a few weeks, after which the Stardawg buds are officially ready for consumption.

The seeds in this pack are some of the most healthiest seeds I’ve ever seen. I popped the whole pack and had 100% germination rates. Thanks Gu!

Very healthy beans! I popped 2 Stardawg f2, Cowboy Kush, Copper Chem, and Ice Cream Wedding (pictured from right to left) using the paper towel method and they all had an inch long Taproot in 24 hrs. Smell great so far with ridiculous growth. I love these GPS strains and have been hoarding since I found the sight on accident almost 3 months ago. 13 different flavors and no end in sight 😁.

Should be quite a treat to grow.

Did you germinate all your seeds yet? If you got 10 seeds and 5 of them were males, that would suggest a pretty standard ratio at 50% if your other seeds were all females.

Amazing results with my Stardawg f2 germination. Popped 6 and got (4) females. All are off to a great start with lush green growth and waxy looking growth. Barley / Purple Corn Seed Sprout Tea seems to bring out the best in strong genetics when germinating. Green Point has done it again with this beautiful Stardawg f2

It’s amazing. The high is so comfortable and happy that I decided to go for the monster crop instead of chopping her down fully. Should have taken clones, but I didn’t, so now I have to pray that she makes a comeback in the Veg tent. Sorry for the lack of pics, I’ll definitely take a bunch when she makes a comeback. The girl I grew presses decent too with an average return of 18% for those of you into rosin.

Bleach, Chem, a little rubber makes for one of the best noses ever. This is the 3rd round on her for me, and she’s even better than the first two grows. I learned you really need to let her go to at least 10 weeks to get the full potential. She produces and presses like a beast. I can’t get enough.
