The Cross

Zkittlez has spent a decade as the reference point for flavor in this market and almost as long as the plant growers complain about. Putting it on an auto timeline was never the hard part. Holding onto the mother through the conversion was, and four generations of inbreeding and selection is what that cost.

The Parents

Zkittlez came out of Mendocino County through Tony Mendo and Green R. Fieldz of the Terp Hogz, working with Brandon Parker of 3rd Gen Family Farms, whose people have farmed that land for generations. The origin was closer to controlled chaos than a breeding plan. Green R. Fieldz acquired a clone mislabeled as Cookies, it flowered into something else entirely, and Tony Mendo hit it with a Grapefruit phenotype.

It took first place for Best Indica Flower at the 2015 Michigan Cup and dominated the 2016 Emerald Cup, and the crew behind it went on to found the Ego Clash invitational, where outdoor growers bring their best work.

The autoflower side contributes the day neutral trigger and nothing else, which is the whole job of a donor.
