Headband was never one strain. It was a regional codename that travelled, an elite OG Kush cut that moved out of Southern California into the Bay and the Emerald Triangle in the early 2000s and got renamed by the growers who received it. This is that line on an autoflowering timeline.

Autos earned a reputation for compromise, and the trait people give up is usually the one they were growing the plant for in the first place. Headband is the sharpest way to test whether that trade is still necessary, because nobody has ever grown Headband for flavor or for weight.
The Parents
By the early 2000s an elite OG Kush cut had moved north out of Southern California and the growers who got it renamed it for what it did. That umbrella eventually fractured into several regional Headbands: Mandelbrot’s 707 out of Mendocino, the East Coast Daywrecker running the I-95 lane, and the Loompa Farms cut sitting quietly in a Northern California vault. Same origin, four different names, depending on which room you were standing in.
The autoflower side supplies the day neutral trigger and the compact frame.
