Gage Green Group

Gage Green Group is a seed company focused on creating and preserving the finest cannabis genetics. Founded in 2008 by Jeff “Keyplay” Selsor and Michael Fang, this Michigan-based collective of breeders has earned much esteem within the cannabis community.

Selsor and Fang first met in California during the early 2000s. Their love of cannabis led them to create many highly coveted varieties, such as Mendo Breath and Grape Stomper OG. Throughout the years, they have faced fallouts with business partners, police raids, and many other hurdles, yet they have always remained committed to producing quality cannabis seeds.

As a boutique seed company, Gage Green Group prioritizes perfection over profit when it comes to breeding cannabis. In an interview with Medium, Fang said:

“We don’t want the cheap stuff around anymore. We don’t want laziness and people skipping steps for profit,” Fang says. “If we can all do our best work to make money, that’s the kind of world we want to live in.”

In 2021, Selsor branched out from GGG, starting his own seed company, Keys to the Kingdom. His goal for this new venture is to return to his roots, employing organic farming methods to create stable, quality F1 regular seeds. In a statement, Selsor said:

“I am thrilled to turn the page to this new chapter in my life and career. Keys to the Kingdom truly is a culmination of my life’s work in the cannabis industry and honors the power and potential of all-natural farming.”

Despite Selsor’s departure from the company, Fang and his team continue to operate Gage Green Group with the same mission they’ve always had—to better the community through natural healing and organic farming.
