What is THCa hemp flower?
At Greenpoint Seeds, we offer a wide variety of hemp products, including the increasingly popular THCa hemp flower. THCa, or “tetrahydrocannabinolic acid”, is a cannabinoid produced in abundance by the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, it doesn’t induce intoxication, but it can convert to delta-9 THC under specific conditions like heat, light exposure, and time – a process known as “decarboxylation”. This happens when THCa flower is smoked or vaped.
The Effects of THCa Flower
Smoking or vaping THCa hemp flower might make users feel “high” or intoxicated due to the potential conversion of THCa to THC. It’s crucial for users to be aware of this possibility when using this product. Furthermore, we strongly discourage selling THCa hemp flower to minors due to its potential intoxicating effects.
Legality of THCa Hemp Flower
It’s important to note that under federal law, harvested THCa hemp flower is lawful. The federal 2018 Farm Bill distinguishes between lawful harvested hemp and unlawful marijuana based on delta-9 THC levels, not THCa. As such, harvested cannabis with no more than 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight is considered lawful hemp.
Shipping Restrictions for THCa Products
As Greenpoint Seeds, our top priority is adhering to the strict regulations surrounding cannabis and ensuring our customers stay within legal boundaries. However, due to variances in state laws, we unfortunately can’t ship our THCa products to certain states.
Priority Shipping to THCa-Friendly States
Greenpoint Seeds is based in Colorado, and we are required to abide by the laws governing the shipment of THCa products from our state to others. Consequently, we offer priority shipping to these THCa-friendly states: Alabama, Alaska, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
States Where THCa Shipping is Restricted
Greenpoint Seeds is unable to ship THCa products to the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
Temporary Shipping Rules
As we’re developing an automated system for managing state-by-state shipping rules, we kindly ask customers residing in the above-mentioned states not to add THCa products to their cart. If such a product is accidentally added, we’ll have to cancel the order and process a refund, which could take a few days to reflect in your bank account.
THCa Flower and Drug Testing
While our THCa hemp flower offers many benefits, users should be aware that its use could result in a failed drug test. This is because it contains cannabinoids, including THC. Hence, we advise against using THCa hemp flower if you’re subject to drug testing.
Growing THCa Flower
For our customers who are passionate about cultivation, understanding “how to grow thca flower” is a common query. At Greenpoint Seeds, we offer comprehensive resources and support to help enthusiasts grow their THCa flowers at home successfully.
Storage and Quality Assurance
We ensure all of Greenpoint Seeds’ hemp flowers are tested for legal compliance. To maintain the quality and legality of our THCa hemp flower, we recommend storing it in a cool, dark, dry location. This limits the amount of THCa that might unintentionally convert to delta-9 THC through decarboxylation.
Please note that this information is specific to Greenpoint Seeds and should not be relied upon as legal advice for other individuals or companies. We have a legal opinion letter regarding the status of THCa hemp flower available.
