Four out of seven made it out of the gate. But, I doubled up on these so there are another six or seven for round two. We are at 41 days flower exactly and the frost is coming on. But, there is definitely a bit to go. Thus far it looks like there is fire in these here genes. My favorite so far is #3. Stacking and fagralicious. These Topangas and my Sticky Ickies are in my progressive Sea of Green space; a testing ground so to speak. They are about to start their two week UV regimen and we are looking forward to seeing how they stack. ProSOG using Roots organic soil and amendments on one gallon fabrics on AC Infinity Fabric Pot Autowatering bases. After the spectacular finish of GP Oreoz s1 I have no doubt I will work thru my entire GP collection in due time. Kudos to Heisen/Gu team.

I'm a little early with this review, because I haven't smoked anything yet. I have a pheno that smells absolutely amazing! It's like an industrial chemical smell with rotten beef boullion. Or maybe it's what they call jet fuel. It's really loud and it's one of those things where I'm constantly touching and sniffing the plant. I think out of the two seeds I planted, this one is a keeper. She is very vigorous, but easy to train.

The only complaint I have is that I received one white seed, and I usually don’t like to germinate those seeds because with my experience they tend to grow at a very slower rate (if you get them to pop) I like my seeds looking more like a watermelon. Besides that, everything’s is going well and I’m really excited!! she looks really healthy.

Have not smoked it yet but I added it to my tent a little late compared to the others in there. Now it’s the tallest plant in there with thee thickest cola I’ve grown to date. She stinks to high hell, rock solid, and should be coming down in a week. Really looking forward to this smoke report!

Topanga Cookies Feminized Cannabis Seeds

To create Topanga Cookies, Greenpoint Seeds used the elite Animal Cookies clone to pollinate the Topanga Canyon OG from Jungle Boys. The resulting hybrid—Topanga Cookies—produces a variety of plants that retain the superior characteristics of both OG and Cookies. Some plants may share the massive yield and lemon-fuel aroma of Topanga Canyon OG, and others may share the exotic color and sweet-and-sour zest of Animal Cookies.

Topanga Cookies is an Indica-dominant feminized hybrid. Feminized seeds are prized by growers because they simplify the growing process. Approximately 99.9 percent of our feminized seeds produce plants that are female. By using feminized seeds, growers can save time by not needing to identify and separate the male plants before they pollinate the females.

Aroma

Topanga Cookies melds the mouthwatering aromas of Topanga Canyon OG and Animal Cookies, creating a terpene-rich strain that is sweet and skunky. The smells of lemon, cherries, and cookie dough contrast with powerful notes of gasoline, pine, soil, and skunk. Much like its aroma, the flavor of Topanga Cookies is rich and complex. This variety coats the mouth with the flavors of lemon, cherries, cookie dough, pine, and gasoline. Some phenotypes may taste more of OG Kush, and others may lean toward the cookie-dough funk of Animal Cookies. Most plants will offer a blend of these flavors.

Effects

Topanga Cookies combines the powerful high of Topanga Canyon OG with the narcotic stone of Animal Cookies, creating a potent effect that can be felt in both the body and mind. The high delivers a burst of energy and creativity, and slowly begins to relax the muscles and ease pain and general discomfort. When consumed in moderation, Topanga Cookies makes for a great afternoon smoke; however, when Topanga Cookies is consumed in excess, its effects may be more narcotic and sleep-inducing.

Structure

Topanga Cookies is medium to tall in height, with long branches that have moderate internodal spacing. This variety forms medium-sized colas, with dense buds that are caked in resin. Topanga Canyon OG phenotypes may form thicker branches and larger colas. Animal Cookies-dominant phenotypes may be somewhat frostier and colorful. When exposed to cold temperatures, some plants may display hues of purple and red in the leaves and buds.

Growing Topanga Cookies

Topanga Cookies offers the vigor and yield of Topanga Canyon OG, and the exceptional density and resin production of Animal Cookies. This variety is resistant to most pests and diseases, and can be grown indoors or outdoors. If given a warm and dry environment, with ample lighting and nutrients, Topanga Cookies can produce a sizeable yield of premium buds.

Like its parents, Topanga Cookies tends to stretch in height as it begins to bloom. Growers can limit the vertical stretch and increase the yield of this cultivar by using a variety of high-stress and low-stress training methods. The plants respond well to topping, fimming, super cropping, and other training techniques. The weight of the hefty colas may cause the branches to sag during the late flowering period. Staking or trellising the plants may prevent the branches from sagging.

Pest & Disease Control

Most OG and Cookies varieties are known to be susceptible to powdery mildew. Some phenotypes of Topanga Cookies also may be prone to powdery-mildew infections. By pruning the plants, providing sufficient air circulation and lighting, and keeping the humidity level low, growers can usually prevent powdery mildew from infecting the plants. Foliar sprays such as water and apple cider vinegar solutions can also be used during the vegetative growth stage, but growers should avoid spraying anything on plants during the flowering cycle.

As a result of the compactness of the buds, some Topanga Cookies plants may be vulnerable to bud rot. By pruning the plants, providing lots of ventilation, and keeping the humidity level below 50 percent during the flowering period, growers can prevent bud rot from ruining their harvest.

Cookies and OG strains typically require more calcium and magnesium than most strains do. Some Topanga Cookies phenotypes may also require an additional supply of these micronutrients. By using a cal-mag supplement or amending the soil with dry amendments such as langbeinite and dolomite lime, growers can prevent the plants from becoming deficient in these micronutrients. In order to maintain a stable pH, growers should use a pH meter to test their nutrient solutions.
