Only finished a few autoflower grows... growing from the same pack the range of growth, aroma, flavor, and appearance was pretty astounding. Effects were minimally distinguishable, if at all, though potency ( and yield) definitely so.
Growing photo period now courtesy of Gu and GPS, excited to keep my favorite two girls from each pack in a clone to clone garden.
As a veteran grower, what do you prioritize in choosing your preferred female? If growing for the original cut but enhanced by Stardawg, is it typical to select the least chem strain attributes?
its hard to say, you will know the one when you find it.
a lot of people say the stardawg overpowers the other strains in these crosses but it hasnt been the case in the 3 strains i have tried and i actually like the little extra kick from the stardawg both in the terps department and the power department.
Most males tend to have more vigour than females, I feel the same, lol, most of my stand out, smelliest, quickest developers with great structure have turned out to be male. The really stinky stand out males I keep growing to see how they develop, if structure, stem type and thc production are all good then I'll flower him, then providing he flowers a little later and is not to quick, I'll use it for a chuck 🏆🏆🏆
With females I personally think you gotta grow, flower, cure, test.
With a male u gotta grow, flower, seed a female, grow multiple seeds of that cross to get females to compare an select a winner..........and so on an on an on an on till you've bx' d the crap outta it ⚕️⚕️⚕️
I appreciate the input from you all, thanks!
Have my first keeper, yield isn’t too impressive but have some ideas on how to train it better now that I’ve seen it thru.
Wanted to try flowering 12 at a time to stay legal but selecting as many mothers as fast as possible. Any advice on how young to switch cycle?
If I switch as soon as I have successful clones (four weeks veg with these gps babies). Will I be able to get the full picture on the phenotype characteristics?
