Just picked up a new LED, it comes with switches for veg, and bloom, so far have been using both on, does anyone use the different spectrums ? and if so how, and does it work ? I have a Higrow 1000w

Not sure on your specific light, but on the one I have, use veg for veg, then week before end of veg switch bloom on also. Leave on for a week of 12/12 then turn veg off. Maybe wrong on this, but I think it is to prevent shock when changing spectrum. If honest, I have only used mine for veg then use a different light I pieced together from work and a hood I made messing around at home. Good luck

Thank you, that is what I thought, but again there is so much more light when both are on, seems to make sense to give them some time with both.

I run many different types of LED lights, so for me it depends, With my mars light I get tight nodes on the veg cycle but with my vipar light i was experiencing too large of a node spacing so when I flipped on both switches i saw shorter internode spacing which is better, I read a few articles that point out the sun doesnt have different cycles why should indoor lighting...for me its to save on electricity costs. bur im goingh to try both switches at the same time on all my lights to see the effect.

I am strongly considering this same LED you bought.  Its IR, UV and 12 band spectrum for that low price is insane!

just grabbed a pack of Greenpoint "Tombstone" seeds @ the reverse auction!  Looking forward to seeing a Tombstone grow!

Let me know how things go, bro.  I'd use that LED in a 4 x 4 and keep all plants 6" away from all the inner walls in the grow tent.

Hey just happened to being reading your question i felt led to share my thought i hope its a blessing and helpful to all who reads, each swith on your light are designed to give your plant the adquite light desiered at there growth stage.because light creates climate ,climate is equated to the vegatation of the plant, and veg has strong derection to youre soil and your soil (medium) is going to derect back tour your veg, its a cycle gentlemen that one will have to the learn the science off, so that you can give your plant the healthy grow environment that it needs to produce the harvest that every grower would want at the end of the plants grow cycle..so i think it would best that you find out the spectrum of your light from manufacturer first, your distance and space along with how many plants all that has to be considered along with alot of other factors that i wont touch on in this topic, but back to subject spectrum according to the power of your light like you mention a 1000 watt i would believe that at a range of 12 " to probly about 20" your Par will in the adequite range in veg mode to give the plant what it needs and control the climate the spectrum should be in range of 350 min too 450 tops to get the total fulfillment(sweet spot)( Healthy zone) to do its best growing in VEG...and when you are in flower it should range in 700 to 800 Par for the best results and can be combined from full Spectrum meaning Veg & Bloom but eventually just bloom.. Remember lights set the climate, that plants need its more than just light.... OGSuavee Favorable Growers of KC...Peace 420 fam!!!
