care and feeding of MALE plants
I’ve been reading endless stories for decades about male plants uprooted and flung aside to make room for females, but I shudder to think of the genetic treasures destroyed in the process. One of the things I find attractive about Greenpoint is that they (seem to) have a healthy, active, viable male for seeding purposes.
I’m curious as to how males are handled in the modern garden, especially by those looking to breed. Anyone care to share?
