How Can We Help?

Cannabis seeds can remain viable for many years if they are properly stored; however, environmental factors such as light, heat, and moisture can negatively impact the viability of the seeds. For short-term storage, it is recommended to put the seeds in an airtight container and store them in a cool, dry, and dark place. Placing a desiccant in the container will help to regulate the moisture level. By storing the seeds in this manner, they typically remain viable for several years.

For long-term storage, many growers choose to store the airtight container in a refrigerator or freezer. Seeds stored in this manner typically remain viable for up to five years; however, some growers have been able to germinate seeds that are decades old by storing them properly.
